Re: Road in the charts
I agree with the fact that it was disappointing that they didn’t play one track off the new album. I thought by the Toronto show, they would have promoted one song, but nothing. I guess they are either saving the promotion of it for 2024, he wasn’t confident the crowd would be that into vs. performi...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Having listened to Road several times, here are my thoughts: - Its a good album, but not a great one. The 3-4 minute song format is effective for some, but others like 100 More Miles - I agree, it could have been stretched out a bit more. - The humour on some of the tracks doesn’t bother me. General...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Here’s another review: https://www.rockcastlefranken.de/reviews/a-c/alice-cooper-road/ It’s close enough to the release date that it should be legit, and seems like it’s written from a real person. Although the first three songs are more generic rock songs, I’m hopeful the album will work in context...

Hmm but it says the author is “Edwin Van Hoof” at the top of the article.
But good point, it is rather early for a review to be released.

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Apologies if I may have missed it from a previous post, but Headbanger’s Lifestyle posted a pretty thorough review a couple of weeks ago. Overall, some interesting insights from the breakdown of each song and the reviewer seems quite impressed. I do think the best is yet to come from Road. It seems ...

Re: “Road,” August 25, 2023
Really looking forward to Road! With the touring band involved, I have a feeling this is going to have a much harder edge than any of his albums since Dragontown. Especially with Nita involved. I have full confidence there will be a great chemistry throughout too. I just hope Alice and Bob keep the ...

Re: New album and stage show
I agree. I find it rather frustrating we haven’t heard anything else about The Road album aside from a couple of articles on there being no overdubs... I thought the Nita single drop would have at least a minor mention of the new AC album, but nothing. This seems more and more likely that it will be...

Re: Touring band to feature on next album!
Does anyone think we’re actually going to get album 1 of 2 (Road TBC) this year? I think an announcement will come in September, with the release in February again, or March. But at this point, who knows. I’m really looking forward to both albums, but as with most AC releases, it’s always such a lon...

Re: New Book
Hi All,
Does anyone have any pics of unboxing the hardcover version? I’ve been scouring through various websites and social media but I’ve only seen the front cover of the book.
Thanks!

Re: A Paranormal Evening At The Olympia Paris DVD / Blu-Ray release
Anyone in Canada still waiting on their box set from Amazon? This is ridiculous. I contacted them and it’s really out of their hands, as the distributor has not notified them on any update. I tried contacting the distributor but no response. I was hoping there would be some kind of update at this po...

Re: Detroit Stories Review
Yeah I heard in the live Q&A yesterday that Alice and Ezrin are working on the next album and the next HV album is also in the works. Whether we like it or not, Ezrin will continue to be in the fold, likely until the end of AC’s career. Maybe we’ll get a solid, conceptually sinister album for the ne...

Re: Live From the Astroturf
I ordered the gold, Good Records version that comes with additional extras, along with the splatter DS vinyl. Really looking forward to giving both a spin. From the reviews/unboxing videos I’ve seen online, the Good Records version is one, if not the most comprehensive vinyls I have seen. It’s going...

Re: Detroit Stories Review
I’m going to be creating at least 2, maybe 3 different versions of this. The first will feature the current track list, with Your Mama Won’t Like Me and Devil with a Blue Dress On /Chains of Love added. I love these ones off Breadcrumbs and think they could have been included, but I understand why t...

Re: Social Debris
I think Jonathan Wyman would be a great choice. He produced the latest record, Death by Rock and Roll by The Pretty Reckless. Has anyone listened to it? That album is a solid 8.5/10 IMO. I was just listening to Death by Rock and Roll, Only Love Can Save Me Now and Witches Burn in particular as stand...

Re: Detroit Stories first song "Rock 'N' Roll" to be available Fri 11-13-20
Should have been a double album. Breadcrumbs + new covers on disc 1/tracks 1-10 from artists/songs who inspire his Detroit roots. 9 songs + Hanging on by a Thread on disc 2/tracks 11–20 of Detroit themed originals . That would satisfy three groups - those who are interested in covers, those who only...

Re: New album cover
Been a while, so just wanted to chime in. I too am somewhat disappointed to see the songs from the Breadcrumbs EP. I had thought those would be a sampling of how the album would sound, not actually be on the album. If anything, Go Man Go was the only one I would have expected, but all of them? It’s ...

Happy 30th Birthday RYFAY!
Although not considered one of Alice’s best albums, I still find it entertaining after all the times I’ve listened to it. In particular, the last 3 songs flow very well, and would have loved to see where an album with a similar tone would have sounded like collectively. RYFAY is not an album that ta...

How would you recreate the Paranormal Cover Art?
There's been so much talk about how bad the Paranormal cover art is, so how would everyone here re-create it? I personally don't mind it, I like the fact that it pops out at you and it has a classic "Rock n Roll" album vibe. It's also not a scary album, so I think it works. I'm also in the minority ...

Re: Thoughts On And Ranking The New Album
I've placed Genuine American Girl and You and All Your Friends after Rats, with The Sound of A ending the album which really helps with the flow. I always prefer albums to be 40 mins or longer (except for the ones back in the 70s/80s since 30-35 mins was the norm.) I really think this is one of Alic...

Anyone notice the Schools Out riff on "Fallen In Love"? It's at 1:49-1:52.
