Re: W2MN - Audio samples of all songs - Big Spoiler Alert
Stoked. Sounds awesome. I'd say in terms of production, sounds quite a bit like Eyes of Alice. Not complaining ;) Ya, I agree, it sounds like The Eyes 2 Alice Cooper...not like Welcome 2 My Nightmare... ...Already disappointed, not impressed with the cheap trick to connect it to WTMN, by incorporat...

Mick ,truly one of the greats...weird seeing Ronnie James Dio commenting and the woman talking about remembering Ronnie and he says I'm still here...both Ronnie and Ronno are missed

Re: Complete Midnight Special 79 new on You Tube
Nice find...I've only had the audio from this show, which I taped off the tv when it originally aired in 1979 !!!!
Alice's voice is awesome unlike the Strange Case concert video, that is one show I can't watch, Alice is such a mess, can't sing, anorexic, glad he survived and regained his career

That IS what I mean that it is there, obviously it is important, no matter what reason you give that it was includedA_MichaelUK wrote:>Be that as it may, it's there...
That's not what you said though. You said it "seemed important enough to be included in the Life and Crimes boxset". There's a difference.

I dont get the NEED to do that instead of JUST leave it still and in one position. That footage is disappointing. As previously stated, Bob Ezrin addresses this in his segme...

I don't think that had anything to do with it. It was gesture of respect from the producers of that project.

Re: Alice Cooper Old School Boxset
it is unfortunate that the subject of the band split was covered at a later stage by Bob and Alice. It would have been nice to see the whole band cover this issue under one roof and put the various rumours to bed once and for all (I wouldn’t have wanted this to be any longer than a few minutes thou...

Re: Lace and Whiskey
The thing I like about the Stones, they always stayed the same, they didn't change their sound to fit in. "Miss You" and "Emotional Rescue" are heavily disco influenced. ya, but it still sounds like the Stones, not the Stones trying to do disco. I loved when Alice went back to his roots on Eyes and...

.[/quote] Call me biased as a member of the guitarist union! but when the ACG broke up why do you think Alice chose them? they were the best in the business and helped transform Lou Reed's career as well as helping make Alice as a solo artist. Artists need great musicians to create truly great works...

Re: Steve Hunter
I guess I'm in the minority as I feel they ruined Lou's sound. I much prefer the low fi punk of The Velvets sound to heavy handed approach of Steve and Dick. Their style worked much better for Alice. Disagree strongly, listen to how Steve & Dick improved the Velvet Undergound songs Sweet Jane & Her...

"Its a shame the coop has never in my view gone out on a limb since Da Da ( He has played it all very safe )." I totally understand what you mean, and do agree to a large extant. However, an argument could be made that he went "out on a limb" by embracing the metal/hair band sound in the 80s and th...
