Re: Bob Dolin & Mike Marconi

I just google'd Mike Marconi. A couple of results in brought me to this interview with Dennis: http://www.ink19.com/issues/december2006/interviews/dennisDunaway.html 5 questions from the bottom he talks about Bob and Mike. Thanks for the link...interesting...although the mistake a fan with Neal as ...

Re: Bob Dolin & Mike Marconi

>I realize that, hence my explanation of including all solo/post break up projects (and those involved therewith) as contributing to the Cooper legacy. I don't think everything should be included as part of it, though. Otherwise, where does it end? Is Alice's appearance on "Something Wilder" part o...

Re: Bob Dolin & Mike Marconi

"I felt he was an important part of the Cooper Legacy... Relly?! Why?" I would agree with Tommy here, of course my reasoning might be different. I tend to look at everything the Cooper members have done since the founding of the band as part of their legacy (which means solo project by Neal, Mike, ...

Re: Bob Dolin & Mike Marconi

>I tend to look at everything the Cooper members have done since the founding of the band as part of their legacy (which means solo project by Neal, Mike, or Dennis have potentially as much weight as those by Alice). But Dolin was not a member of Alice Cooper though. Neither was Steve Hunter, both ...

You don't know? I suggest you go back and search past threads before asking why, I believe there should be information if you look hard enough...

In case you want to look into this further (and I recommend you do), I'm pretty sure there is a previous thread on this (and something like eighty - two pages of other threads) which you may find interesting. I was just using that referenc...

Re: Alice Cooper Old School Boxset

Anyhow, back to the boxset... The St. Louis show is fantastic. Glen is on fire. I hear ya...I've always hated that Glen got a bum wrap in regards to his playing. I was watching the School's Out Paris footage (1972) awhile back, where we see the band at the hotel beforehand and saw Mick Mashbur get ...

Re: Alice Cooper Old School Boxset

What GNDM said. Although there were so many people on the stage at the 100 club, and it sounded so good, I'd quite like to see the whole lot of them together. Now your talking...I would love that...on Thin Lizzy's last tour, well last show, every guitar player came out and they all played together, ...

Alice Show Cycles

I find that Alice seems to do a lot of things in cycles... For instance albums seem to come in two's: Nightmare and Goes To Hell are similar in theme, Constrictor/Raise Your Fist, Brutal Planet/Dragontown, Eyes/Dirty Diamonds And I find his show's have a cycle, he'll do a big theatrical show and the...

Re: Alice Cooper Old School Boxset

show me Steve playing Wicked Young Man... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Dktk4szWd8 Not sure what you're expecting here... the band sounds excellent here (even though this isn't one of my favorite songs). As far as performances, the band purposely plays in place on this one pseudo-soldier like. Pl...

Ya, I figured it was a longer text...I just love stories like that, pulling a stunt to help get the name out there. Like the Rolling Stone's driving around on a truck to promote their T...

Re: Bob Dolin & Mike Marconi

Hey Tommy, I am not sure anybody meant to "rip your head off" for the S. Hunter comment, just most other tour observers strongly disagreed with your assessment. I have read a few things about Bob & Marc over the years, but nothing of real significance. Been awhile since I did much online searching....

Re: Dennis Dunaway's Book

I have read this thread with interest and it seems that there is a focus on the bands break up when talking about a book and versions of events that may be written about in such a book. I totally agree with GNDM and Andy in saying the bands breakup should only be a small part of any book. Bands spl...

I'm talking in circles here, it seems you all just take the points of what I write that suit you and skip the rest..this is getting boring...ALL I'VE SAID IS EVERYONE IS SAYING I'M OFF THE MARK WITH MY COMMENTS, so the only way to perhaps satisfy you all is to go to the source (Neal/Mike/Glen)...bu...

Was reading the yearbook from the boxset...Lonn Friend mentions the trunk that broke down with Alice's pic on it, but didn't mention the reason...they pulled that stunt because of poor ticket sales and wanted to cause a commotion to boost publicity and hopefully sell some ticktes...

Re: Alice Cooper Old School Boxset

>why wasn't the entire Chicago Underground show included? That was a decision taken 'higher up the chain', as it were. I think it would have seemed a little weird to include the whole show as part of the audio rarites, yet have the "Killer" show as a seperate disc. Aha, so I may think the whole sho...
