Re: Touring band to feature on next album!
My personal preference for the next album would be to let the band write and record it. Get Tommy to produce it. As much as I love Ezrin, I do feel he's too heavy handed with his production and doesn't place enough faith in the band. He relies on his friends and session players and I do feel it's ti...

Re: New single - 'Our Love Will Change The World'
I actually heard it on the radio the other day whilst driving with my wife. I told her that this was the new AC single and she didn't believe me. She said "Why does he sound so young?"!
Have to say, it has grown on me somewhat.

Can't Sleep Clowns Will Eat Me is a favourite of mine. I also think Eat Some More is overlooked somewhat.

Re: Album opinion change
I've come to be very fond of FTF and SF over the years, having been very disappointed upon first listen. ZCS has some great moments too, but as a whole doesn't work brilliantly. I think EOAC has aged really well and that still sounds fresh to me. ACAS is even worse than when I first listened, and i ...

Really enjoyed that, despite a couple of fluffs. Good energy.

Ah yes, I bought a few things from Shaun over the years. I remember getting a couple of custom vhs tapes with some grainy footage and some cool interview footage back from the Constrictor/RYFAY years.
Used to enjoy leafing through his b&w leaflets.

Re: Have you changed your mind?
Battle Axe were song written with the hope or expectation that Alice would eventually participate and polish up the lyrics. Without Alice and Bob that is what the band was capable of. As a teenager I could listen to it, but it does not hold up well 40 years later. The music was about as threatening...

I didn't mind the song. I always felt like Novocaine sounded very similar to it.

Re: Flush the Fashion 40th Anniversary
I think Flush The Fashion has actually aged really well. There are some definite 'filler' tracks in there, but the whole thing has a great feel and sound. The production is spot on.

I attended the Birmingham show and took my partner. It was her first time seeing him and all in all, I think it was a great first show to see for her. Loved the set-list and was very happy to see some more obscure tracks included. Stage show was great. I was worried at first that his voice sounded t...

Those sound samples sound pretty raw. Doesn't appear they've gone for a big production on this one.

Re: Rise - First reviews
Having had the weekend to let this album sink into my brain, I must say that i'm pretty impressed. It's not perfect and i'm not sold on the cover People Who Died. That one goes for at least 2 minutes too long. I actually really like their version of Heroes and I think the Johnny Thunders cover is re...

Re: Best engineered album?
Just thought i'd add a little extra to this. The term 'producer' gets misused quite a lot. There are many producers, especially these days, that barely touch the mix. A producers role is more-so that of a conducter/master of ceremonies. Someone like Bob Ezrin has a direct input in ideas, song struct...

Re: Best engineered album?
Commenting in the engineering is a bit odd..... do you mean the best mixes? I have run my own commercial studio for about 10 years so I can offer a little bit of unbiased observation on this. B$B is probably the pinnacle of the ACG albums in terms of audio fidelity. The drums are lovely and clean an...
