Re: Fields of Regret
It's not that I dislike Sun Arise, but I personally think Fields of Regret (newer version) would fit better. I usually stop the album whe SA starts, which won't make me miss any of the great songs since it's the last cut. Think it's a bit weak compared to the rest of LITD.

Thanks Vince. Too bad they decided not to include it. Perhaps instead of Sun Arise.

Re: Fields of Regret
I'm in no particular hurry, AMUK.
Just worried that my post got missed by people who knows, as it was moving quickly down the line. Bad practice ?
No, it is not unreasonable to think they did. I just hoped someone had some facts about it, like f.i. was the idea was binned.
Thanks anyway.

Fields of Regret
I love this song. But the PFY version is the weakest I've heard. The best version is the one on LITD demos. I was pleasently surprised to find it there. Anyone know why it was included in the LITD demos ? Was it intended to be released on the album or what ? The classic rough Alice voice really suit...

Re: Cut Down Alice Cooper "Old School Reissue"
Have not bothered to comment on this before actually seen some. I too thought the original issue was way too expensive, even for me being an "old school" fanatic. But as the reissue came out for a much more reasonable price, I ordered one. Got it today, and I must say it is well worth the money. Sti...

Gotta be my favourite. Under My Wheels and Be My Lover are a bit too mainstream for me, but that's hits for you ain't it ?

Tuneylune, why are you surprised to see Alice wear a BS Tshirt ?
I had that poster too
Some great pics there from the good ol' days.

Re: Cut Down Alice Cooper "Old School Reissue"
It was news to me as well, and great news too. I found the original issue outragiosly pricy. Andy, I don't think it's fair to expect people to run though a lot of previous posts to see if a question has been answered earlier. I mean the original Old School thread is four pages with lots of the usual...

Re: The Alice Cooper album of the Day: BATTLE AXE
Well, I never heard of it before I bought it back in '77. I remember going across to Sweden and looking through the AC section in a record store when an unfamiliar cover caught my eye. At first I thought it was an alternative version of the BDB album but was really pleasently surprised to find what ...

Re: Worst Songs
I can't beleive Sick Things got two votes I think it's a classic, one of the best on BDB.
I can't name my cadidate as, like Gunner think there's been too many bad tracks since WTMN. Unlike Gunner though, I do think NMLAYC is one of them.

Re: Battle of the '70's ballads
Well, that didn't make sence. What I meant was OWB is the worst IMO 'cause it started the ballad thing for Alice.TodayMueller wrote:I'm indifferent. Don't think Alice should do ballads at all. So, I guess I'll go for OWB beacuse that started it.

Re: Killer vs. BDB
Oh yeah, and for what it's worth: I rate Killer way higher than BDB. Not that I don't think BDB is a great album, but IMO it is inferior to the previous 3 or four. And I'm not comparing them for the hits. There are only a couple of hits among my favourite tracks off any album. Killer and Schools Out...

Re: Killer vs. BDB
Dimma. I totally agree with you about that 18 intro solo. It's just fantastic, f.... great stuff. I think GB did it just as well on the St. Louis ´71 recording. I play that part over and over again in my car.
Too bad that they didn't invent that intro for the studio LITD recording.

Yeah, rest in peace Glen.
The greatest R'n'R personality of all time.
Such a shame he passed on just when the ACG were getting some attention again. There has never and never will be a true reunion, no one can fill his shoes. All IMO of course (I've learned to include that at all times)
