Re: Follow up to paranormal?!?!?
I think the follow up will be a "Hollywood Vampires" album. I know most people say "An HV album is not an Alice Cooper album " but let's be honest, whenever Alice gets involved in new stuff , it gets fully hunted by him.
So, I cant wait.
So, I cant wait.

Suppose we let this one sink in first....?

Absolutely! If he has it in him & can get it done. Great! Bring it on!!Dannorama wrote:Suppose we let this one sink in first....?
Can we get past this one & digest it?
All signs are pointing to a winner. But, until I play it a few times - no matter how the first time feels -
most great albums need to grow on you to find those special parts that we all savor!

Re: Follow up to paranormal?!?!?
Not long now! Can't wait to listen to Paranormal in its entirety.
I think Alice will give us another album in 3-4 years after he records with The Hollywood Vampires. Judging by his interviews, he seems to have really rekindled his love for the recording process again. Whether that's with the original ACG group or a solo album remains to be seen.
But maybe this album was meant to be a prelude to his next album that will be with the ACG. Since Alice usually does albums in 2s, it would make sense that his next would be a take-off of the 2 songs on Paranormal in a more general garage rock sound.
If not, I hope Alice can really take his next solo album in a more creepy direction. How about a release on Halloween with his current band? Something along the lines of a graveyard coming to life, with 10 individual stories of how these people died and how they lived. A couple could be more emotional tales, but the majority should be horrific tales.
Or that 7 deadly sins project. 7 songs that range from 5-7 minutes. It would be like an updated version of BP/DT and the songs would sound like the song "Dragontown". Although I don't think Ezrin would make Alice sound that serious unfortunately.

Re: Follow up to paranormal?!?!?
It's true after Alice makes another album with the Hollywood Vampires read this in a YouTube (interview with Kaos tv )talking about paranormal,Qstock festival appearance ,he says another Alice Cooper album after the HV album. It's actually the video audio interview from Finland in English though posted on news section of this site awhile back.andyrew wrote:Not long now! Can't wait to listen to Paranormal in its entirety.

I for one, don't want another Hollywood Vampires album. The whole idea was just bad from the start and really brought my love for Alice down. So far the only thing I can say is I'll save some petty cash in not buying anything Alice related if it's only going to be like Lace and Whisker/Zipper Catches Skin sequels.
Re: Follow up to paranormal?!?!?
The next HV album is to be all new tracks so I don't really see the difference of Alice recording /writing with Johnny Depp/Joe Perry and Alice writing/recording with those on the new album. Personally I really liked the HV covers album. Great forward classic rock. I would have preferred more obscure choices from the bands but it was good fun. Also I played it down to England and back and my 13 year old, who previously didn't listen to any music at all, got into classic rock, picked up the guitar and is now in a band. Although he prefers floyd and zeppelin to Alice.Spettro wrote:I for one, don't want another Hollywood Vampires album. I loved it, too. For many of us in the U.S., several of the songs were obscure choices. Before the HV album, I'd never heard "Itchycoo Park," "Jeepster," or "Cold Turkey." None of those were popular on rock radio in my area when I was growing up.dadascot wrote:Personally I really liked the HV covers album. Great forward classic rock.
