After a couple decades visiting this site at least weekly, it seems I finally caught some news before Si did, a feat I am proud of

Alice is going to be featured on Shakin' Street on the MC5 tribute album by Joecephus and the George Jonestown Massacre (never heard of them). Cherish Currie, also featured, mentioned it on her Facebook, and mentioned Alice by name. Other cool artists include Jeff Clayton and Danko Jones

Guessing Wayne Kramer will be on the track ( paying tribute ) to himself and whoever played on the Road track.
The Great Zal Cleminson is on the album which is unusual as I thought he had retired years ago.

Another Alice Cover......

Another Alice Cover......
Alice paying tribute to a band he knew personally and shared the stage with at the start of his career, on someone else's album. Seriously, what gives?

This might be good. It might depend on who the backing band is though. I'm kind of curious what Alice could do with "American Ruse" or "Ramblin’ Rose."

Just ignore him. His negativity is tiring.

Will you be ignoring the rest of the crowd constantly bitching about covers then?

The George Jonestown Massacre is fairly well-known down south.

Why would anyone bitch about doing a cover on a tribute album?

You a fellow SAHB fan?

I wonder how many of those are on here?

I think Scotlands finest music to grace the rock scene.

Saw SAHB a couple of times in their heyday. Best show was support to the Who at Celtic Park. Lots of mad juiced up fans there for them, a really edgy atmosphere and a great set.

I was there as well, fantastic gig. Last time I saw Zal playing was in 2019 with the Sin Dogs.

Saw them on a late night Concert show in the mid-70's & have been a fan ever since! :8):

I saw SAHB in 74, 75 and 76 at The Liverpool Empire. Best live show I ever saw bar non. I've never seen anyone work a crowd like Alex. I saw him in a small club in Liverpool right before he died. Sad seeing him fall so hard.

Zal was just an incredible player and foil to Alex. Next will never leave my Top 20 albums. Peak SAHB.

Saw Mott the Hoople twice in 73. SAHB was support at the first gig and Queen supported later in the year. Have to say that Alex Harvey was good but not great but Freddie (never a big fan) absolutely blew everybody away and stands as one of my top 10 sets ever.
