Small concert stats breakdown
I have spent the afternoon amusing myself with concert stats on where Alice has played since the start of the BP tour and up through present time. I'm no big numbers cruncher; just my own pen and paper and some addition. I used only the timeline from this site. Here's what I've found ... (and cut me some slack if I missed one here or there)
Alice has performed 710 shows.
US only shows ... 355
Rest of world ... 355 (Is that weird or what??)
Breakdown of US shows ...
California 31
Michigan 28
New York 23
Indiana 22
Ohio 22
Illinois 18
Wisconsin 17
Florida 17
Nevada 13
Rhode Island,West Virginia,Louisiana 0
Arkansas,Nebraska 1
Rest of world ....
Canada 81
Germany 63
UK 50
Australia 36
Sweden,Russia 15
36 different countries have had at least 1 show performed by Alice.
Of the 6 different tours made (I only took into consideration the major names of the tour.I didnt break it down into part 1/part 2 or the slight difference in DT or the like tours)these are the only locations that got at least 1 show from ALL of those tours ...
US ... California,Illinois,Michigan,Nevada,Ohio,Wisconsin
ROW .. Germany, UK,
(of note - the Bare Bones tour ruined several others from being on this list)

Re: Small concert stats breakdown
Your stats show that Alice plays more shows than most other rock acts. So Alice fans are pretty fortunate. How many other acts have played that many shows over the last eight years? The stats also show that Alice has audiences all over the world.

If you want to conduct the same exercise for the tours from 1996 to 1999, then add the results to your existing statistics, that might make the figures even more interesting. As I said yesterday, Alice has been extremely active since 1996 and we should be grateful for that.

Re: Small concert stats breakdown
Just looked again at the location of the list of states on DA`s list.
With the exception of California and Florida , it seems that the rest are northern states, and the mostly populated.
Out of the list, only Indiana and Wisconsin are not in the top 10 mostly populated states in the US.
One can understand the tours not venturing into states such as the Dakota`s, Wyoming, Montana and the like becuase no one lives there, but there doesn`t seem to be too much activity in the southern states.
Can I ask, is the bible belt the reason for that.
Maybe out American friends shed light on that for me.

For sure I'm. He even played Tilburg with the DD-tour: 22 km from my city. I mean: I went on my bicycle! I never ever dared to dream of that.As I said yesterday, Alice has been extremely active since 1996 and we should be grateful for that

I don't know if you remember or not, but I had said something about this on a thread a while ago. People were wondering why Alice seemed more popular in Europe and Canada than in America and I said that he seemed to be more popular in places that were more "liberal". And in the US, I also said that he seemed to be more popular in the states that are the "blue" states which are the ones that tend to vote democrat (liberal) than he is in the "red" states which are the ones to vote republican (conservative). These stats certainly seem to indicate that this is the case. (The bible belt runs through the red states and it makes sense that he would be less popular in the bible belt.) I think most rock acts enjoy greater popularity in the blue states and less popularity in the bible belt.

All interesting stuff. I was at the 1 Liverpool concert . Just glad he tours so much. Not many acts are so accesible.
...And personally, I don't care.
