Question for anyone here is was planning on seeing Alice this year but there's no Connecticut or massachusetts show in the Tour dates with Halestorm anywhere to be seen. Think a CT at least or MA show will be added? ? Alice never misses the east coast on a tour.

That quote is from the Alice Cooper Official You Tube account. I mean it still could be a pack of lies, but who knows.

They are playing in Portland Maine and I think in New Hampshire. Remote east coast but Portland is a hot spot city with a large music scene and about a hour and a half from Boston.AliceFan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 8:24 pmQuestion for anyone here is was planning on seeing Alice this year but there's no Connecticut or massachusetts show in the Tour dates with Halestorm anywhere to be seen. Well I did something that I promised myself that I would never do. Just pulled the trigger on two Diamond VIP tickets for Nashville in August. My credit card is still smoking. But hey, you only live once right. Just hoping that the band will do a pre-show or after show club gig somewhere too. So far it looks like there are a couple of off nights before and after the Nashville stop and since Chuck lives in Nashville there might be an opportunity for that to happen. Fingers crossed.

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour
When the sale started, I chose two available 7th row center section tickets at face value for Pittsburgh (Burgettstown) and the order went through. However, after looking closer at the confirmation screen, I noticed Ticketmaster had taken it upon themselves to turn those two center section 7th row tickets into two left section 10th row tickets. How nice of them. The side sections at Keybank Pavilion stink, so no thanks.
I called TM and after getting disconnected twice, I demanded a refund. They said they were having issues with their website (yea sure). Fortunately, not too long after a single 5th row ticket at face value came up and my wife was nice enough to tell me to get it and she'd forego the show.
Frankly, I find it offensive how they trickle out better seats during the course of an on sale event, but that's how TM operates.

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour
I haven't had to deal with Ticketmaster since about this time last year, so I hadn't seen their latest crap, which RemarkablyInsincere and I discussed at length on Facebook. There must have been twenty times that I selected seats, only to have TM tell me that "Another fan beat me to him, so how about this crappy seats several rows farther back or off to the side?" Over and over and over. And as noted above, they dribbled out seats throughout the two hours I was watching. Aside from various package seats, there were no floor seats for Nashville at all until about 15 minutes into the presale. I couldn't find anything remotely decent until 40 minutes in, when some not-horrible floor seats finally showed up, and I bought those.
It was awful. I'm glad I don't go to many concerts any more. And I have no doubt that much better seats will show up over the next few days.

It's always fun to attend a show where you put in significant effort (work arrangements, etc) to try to get good seats when they went on sale 4-6 months prior, only to have someone say "yeah, I just grabbed 2nd row seats last week off the website" like it's nothing.SickThings wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 9:34 pmIt was awful. Yes, that's special. And it happens all the time. But if I tried that, there wouldn't be any seats left at all.RemarkablyInsincere wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 9:46 pmIt's always fun to attend a show where you put in significant effort (work arrangements, etc) to try to get good seats when they went on sale 4-6 months prior, only to have someone say "yeah, I just grabbed 2nd row seats last week off the website" like it's nothing.

I got tickets for the Cincinnati and Nashville shows...since I'm going solo to Cincy I got pretty good seats...since I'm bringing my wife to Nashville, we are in the balcony...I'm ok with it...since the craziness that ensued made me think I wouldn't get any....

I looked at Cincinnati, but just wasn't feeling the seats, the prices, or the fact that it would mean a hotel stay. I may change my mind later, but for now, it's just Nashville for me.

I've seen the waiting game work many a time for you! I've always been impressed with your luck on that.RemarkablyInsincere wrote:

And yeah, everything you and Hunter are saying about TM. SO. TRUE. First time I had the map keep telling me that another fan beat me to the tix was the first Thin Lizzy show that I was getting tickets for after Damon joined. It was so very frustrating!

I'm inclined to believe this is referring to the UK Tour which is dubbed "Ol' Black Eyes Is Back" while the US Tour seems not to be.padre_sliprat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 4:22 pm"Rock’n Roll Hall of Famer Cooper will bring an all-new show for the Summer 2019 tour. Dubbed "Ol' Black Eyes Is Back," the show will have a very different look than recent tours. New music from Alice is expected in time for the tour, once again produced by Alice’s longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin."
I'm also inclined to believe this is referring to the Hollywood Vampires second album, which is the only new music I'm seen confirmed by the Alice camp.
But that's just my gut.

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour
Yes, I have had luck with it but that doesn't mean I like having to do it. It's a bit heart wrenching if it's a show I really want to see as I prefer having a ticket in hand. And most often, I'm only looking for a single ticket so that increases the odds greatly. Again, it's mostly for the large venues. I've had next to no luck doing this in theater type venues, especially for Alice.NotSoPerfect wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 10:22 pmI've seen the waiting game work many a time for you! If I didn't land something this week, I would have gone that route most likely, though.

Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour
I think the ONLY reason it isn't billed as 'Ol Black Eyes' in the US is that it's a joint headliner. You can`t really call it after an Alice name, or a Halestorm name, as that suggests one artist has superiority over the other. So it's neither.RemarkablyInsincere wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 10:23 pmI'm inclined to believe this is referring to the UK Tour which is dubbed "Ol' Black Eyes Is Back" while the US Tour seems not to be.
Same thing with the Manson and Zombie tours which had their own name, but were the same show as everywhere else minus a couple of songs due to stage timing limitations.

True. Alice is getting top billing though with his name first and bigger in every advertisement I've seen. No doubt, Alice will close the show every night given that.Si wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 10:29 pmI think the ONLY reason it isn't billed as 'Ol Black Eyes' in the US is that it's a joint headliner. Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour
All the official ads I've seen both artists names are exactly the same size, and it would normally be written into the contract that they are the same size, as co-headliners. I remember back in '95 there was a big deal about some venues putting Scorpions name bigger then Alice's when they toured together, and we were reporting every time we saw it incorrectly so it could be fixed. It was against the contract, they had to be the same size on everything (even though that WAS technically Scorp's tour.)RemarkablyInsincere wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 10:31 pmAlice is getting top billing though with his name first and bigger in every advertisement I've seen. As to Alice's name being first? Alphabetical. A and C both before H.
I wouldn't be that surprised to see Alice go on first. He seems to like that spot. Hit the audience while they're fresh and then let the other act try and follow him. Win/Win for him. He doesn't have a problem about not going on last that many fans have (me included).
Halestrorm are big AC fans, so that may play into it as well if they don't go on last. It's clear who the bigger name is, he's a legend, but who is the bigger concert draw in the states I really don't know. The two criteria aren't the same thing.
We obviously expect Alice to go on last, but there is more to it then that. Managers negotiating deals always what the best for their own acts, it's their job.
They may even switch night by night in an effort to be fair to everyone. Time will tell.
Re: ‘Ol black eyes is back Tour
I’m bummed. No Alice for me this year.
Just can’t justify the hundreds of dollars on travel/ticket for a shortened set of just the hits.
I’m so grateful our favorite artist is still so active for 71 years old, so I certainly don’t want to sound sour about it. Alice also deserves to do what he enjoys - and if that means splitting time with some other band and doing the Vampires then by all means go ahead. I hope some unsuspecting Halestorm fans get their doors blown off
Here’s hoping ‘Ol Black Eyes is Back comes to the US at some point
