Re: Alice & Kane interview 1988
Thanks Gunner - I'd not seen this particular piece before. Alice and Kane were indeed bouncing off one another very well.
I think it would be interesting to see similar interviews with Alice and his current band. I think the casual fans probably wouldn't give two hoots about the band but I'd like to see it.

I think Kane is one of the funniest people I've ever met and when he and Alice were together (of - stage) all you could do was laugh.

that's why the RYFAY show and the Nightmare Returns as a good second are my most played live tapes...he's one of my favorite all time guitar players...mattcoddington wrote:artie is one of the most underrated, least known guitar players ever. even better than kane.

I always thought Kane Roberts was unfairly criticized by many fans. He is a solid player. I have heard people claim he butchered many of the classics, but his style was simply that of many other 80's guitarists. I thought he added a new element to many of the songs. His solo album "Saints and Sinners" while very commercial is a solid listen if you are a fan of 80's music.

I recorded the interview on beta tape when it was shown on MuchMusic back in the day. That's right, I said beta.
If I may put forward a slice of personal colostomy...
