Saga of Jesse Jane
Has Alice admitted this was copied from Ballad of Dwight Fry?
Re: Saga of Jesse James
Why would he?
Re: Saga of Jesse James
If someone asked him about it.
Re: Saga of Jesse James
You mean Jesse Jane? I don't get that association at all.

I'm still confused...
Re: Saga of Jesse James
I know what he means. They both have that strummed acoustic guitar with a similar chord progression in the verse. BODF starts on a major chord rather than a minor though. They’re in different keys too. That’s it, nothing more. If it’s anything it’s a nod to the past rather than a retread.

Ok, break it down musically.
Great! once we get to the point of
it's "The Ballad Of Jesse Jane"
Where do we go from here?
LGBTU+ or take a step in "Lou's" direction.
But, he was already there!
"Take A Walk On The Wild Side"

Re: Saga of Jesse James
When I got "Dirty Diamonds" I thought it sounded too similar to BODF.
Re: Saga of Jesse James
It is about as similar as Freedom is to Only Women Bleed
