Timeline 28 - The Eyes Of Alice Cooper Tour

Sept 5th '03 Alice appears with Ringo Starr's All Stars at the Dodge Theater in Phoenix. He sings "With A Little Help From My Friends"

I will mention the one thing that sets this show apart from all the others and that’s the special guest that joined the band to sing along on “With A Little Help from My Friends”. Ringo introduced the guest by saying something along the lines of “I’d like to bring out someone to sing on the next song. A local boy made good – ALICE COOPER!”. Alice Cooper (who has a great restaurant/bar about four blocks away from the theater BTW) came out and did the! “I’m not worthy” bowing ala Wayne’s World to Ringo. He then stood by the John Waite’s microphone and patted his right thigh and sang along during the call-and-response parts and the chorus. The crowd was really thrilled.

Sept 7th '03 Alice is in Hawaii at the The ER Cure Autism Now Golf Tournament

Sept 9th-13th 2003 Alice is briefly in London doing promo for the forthcoming album. He appears on the Chris Tarrant Breakfast Show on the 12th and did interviews for TotalRock, BBC6, TalkSport, Virgin Radio and various other press/TV.While here on the Tuesday he goes to see the stage production of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' at the London Palladium which had asked him to play the Child Catcher. It's decided that schedules don't allow for it to happen.

Cooper Rejects Stage Role

Veteran rocker Alice Cooper has turned down the chance to star in a play based on classic children's book Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The "School's Out" singer was set to replace ballet dancer Wayne Sleep as the Child Catcher in the production in London's West End, but ended up declining the offer after watching the play last week. A spokesman says, "Alice enjoyed the show a lot but decided the part wasn't for him. "His schedule doesn't allow it anyway as he is about to go on tour to promote his new album."

Sept. 16th '03 Alice and the band perform for The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. They do two tracks 'Man Of The Year' and 'No More Mr Nice Guy'

Britney and Madonna come out, do the Kiss, before being taken away by security men who then turn to each other and also Kiss. Very funny.

News Report: Alice the albino python is recovering after eating a dinner that required emergency surgery. Just hours before its owner, rocker Alice Cooper, was to take the stage at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, the 8-foot snake ate a live rat and then mistakenly swallowed a 12-by-14 inch heating pad, wires and all, left in its cage by mistake. Before Saturday night's show, Cooper's roadies saw the snake's unusually large bulge and called at-risk snake helper Alison Sloan, who directed Alice to Higganum veterinarian Richard Jacobs. Jacobs performed emergency surgery on the python for two hours this week, carefully slicing it open and removing the heating pad.

"It was absolutely an emergency," Sloan told The Hartford Courant newspaper on Thursday, noting the wires could have ruptured Alice's intestines or other organs with fatal results. "She's a very lucky snake." Sloan, director and owner of Ashleigh's Rain Forest in Essex, allowed Cooper to borrow a yellow anaconda for Saturday's show to replace the python, which undulates onstage with Cooper during his performances. Alice the snake was resting comfortably at Jacob's office on Thursday. The operation involved sedating the snake and inserting a tube to help it breathe during surgery. Jacobs said he cut a 5-inch-long incision along a row of scales and maneuvered the heating pad out. "That's an outrageous X-ray," Jacobs said Thursday, looking at the pre-op picture of the snake that showed the wires and contacts from the heating pad -- plus a rodent. "It's probably the most astonishing X-ray I've taken in my career." Cooper was unavailable for comment. Sloan said the rocker thanked her for her help and paid $1,000 for the surgery. He is also allowing Alice to semi-retire to Sloan's rescue and rehab. "Alice Cooper stepped up to pay the vet bill and let Alice live in our rain forest," Sloan said. Sloan said Cooper might call on Alice to make stage appearances during future performances in the Northeast.

"Just got back from the show. 4 1/2 hours that went by pretty quick. High lights were Dan Quayle front row center for the show. He left after intermission. Cheap Trick closed out part 1 and was backed by Alices band, Alice said that he practiced with the band doing the vocals during the week. They did "I want you to want me", "California man" and "Surrender". Gin Blossoms did a nice set of 3 and Roger Clyne and the peacemakers did a nice set. Glen Cambell did "Rhinestone Cowboy" and "Little drummer boy" on the bagpipes.Sinbad was funny as were most of the comedians.Sinbad introduced Nugent who did 2 songs "Klstrphnky" and "Wang dang sweet poontang" with his touring drummer and Alices bassist then had Jack Blades come out for "Cat Scratch Fever". He then brought out Shaw and Cartellone for 3 more Damn Yankees songs. These guys were hot and on the money. They did "Dont tread on me", "High enough" and "Coming of age". Funny bit where Shaw and Blades did a countryfied Eighteen on acoustic guitar which Nugent grabbed then smashed on stage. Alices set was "No more mr nice guy", "Eighteen", "Be My Lover" and "Schools out". Damn Yankees joined Alices band with Glen Cambell for a smoking "Run Rudolph Run" which featured solos from everyone and A few others joined in on Jingle bells as the finale. Pudding was chocolate and the show opened with some guy in a medival outfit and mask doing bells which were set up on this huge contraption. The other guests were locals and were pretty good but it was the Damn Yankees night. Hard to believe how good the harmonys and all were. Jessi Colter(Waylon Jennings wife) did a couple of nice songs including a cool bluesy version of Silent Night. They handed some magazine called Risen out pre show that had this pro christian interview of Alice. Some of it was weird because Alice said some stuff that was off the mark in the interview. Worth the money and it was time well spent. Emcees were Mike Wilson, Mark Cordes, and Danny Zelisko. "
