May 11th 2011 Jaegermeister 4D event in Battersea Power Station, London.

Announcement:
The ‘Jägermeister Ice Cold Event’ is set to make history as the UK’s first holographic 4D rock gig and will celebrate the release of the new Alice Cooper Box Set 'Old School: 1964-1974'. Featuring original band members Alice Cooper, Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith and Michael Bruce, plus Steve Hunter standing-in for the late Glen Buxton, the ‘Jägermeister Ice Cold Event’ will be the first time the group has ‘appeared’ together in the UK since 1972. (Please note: This is a multmedia event and the band will not be there in person. The show will feature a specially recorded concert which is then given the 4D holographic treatment for presentation).

The event itself was a success, but the actual quality of the 4D presentation left something to be desired, being rather blurred and distant. The band performed a short set of classics with various video effects which included them breaking out of ice at the beginning of the show and confetti cannons at the end. An audio recording of the show was later released as a bonus download for people ordering the then forthcoming 'Old School' box set directly from AliceCooper.com.

According to a venue representative "the 3 x 4 metre billboard had been untied from the framework and stolen, with no traces of how. Scaling the awning and ascending somehow to the billboard framework, several metres above the awning, the stealth mission was no mean feat. It is also clear that this was no blow away Alice; as the billboard on the other side of the framework remained completely intact."

October 2nd 2011 Orianthi get stuck in a lift at the bands hotel!

"Yesterday in Perth Alice and I were coming into the hotel from the airport and were on our way to start some interviews, and we see the hotel staff rushing around... Apparently, Ori was trapped in an elevator between the 2nd and 3rd floor, and it had DROPPED 4 floors before stopping there.  Our thoughtful crew guys and Karen Hunter patiently hung out at the elevator doors for an hour and a half while the engineers tried to open the doors, chatting with her and trying to keep her mind on other things... Elevator music can be lethal in large doses you know...  She was in there so long that eventually they decided to pump some oxygen into the elevator, just in case, but there was little danger of her running out of air, or of the pure oxygen reacting with Ori’s astonishingly blonde hair.  She finally made it out in good spirits, and the hotel comped her stay, upgraded her and comped all of her food and drinks... Pretty good idea Ori, I’m going to remember that. I’m on to your tricks..."

"Hello all my peeps and fans. I have an announcement to make. I have spent many weeks mulling this over...losing sleep. For many reasons both personal and professional I have reluctantly decided not to join Alice Cooper onstage this year. None of the reasons has to do with my health which is very good at the moment. Nor do any have anything to do with my poor eyesight, because I was able to find ways around my impairment to enable me to perform and play guitar onstage. Nor is Alice any part of the reasons I have made this decision. He is a brother to me and we share a real history. I think it’s time I move on. I have a solo album to finish among other things. I will miss all the beautiful people I met last year. I will miss glancing over to my right and seeing Alice belting out 18 again. I hope you all understand and aren’t disappointed in me. But I think I have to do this. I hope to see you all out there again one day soon. Thanks for understanding and God bless!"
