A Fistful Of Alice

Filmed at Sammy Hagar's 'Cabo Wabo' club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the same show as the album of the same name, this 25 minute show was aired on VH-1 on July 11th 1997 in the UK, and August 12th in the US. To our knowledge it was never repeated. The show has never been released on VHS or DVD although footage of 'School's Out' with Sammy Hagar has been shown a few times over the years as it was used as a promotional video for the album. Why the full show hasn't been released has never been explained. The full show should be in the VH-1 vaults somewhere, and it's almost criminal that it's never been shown or released. The appearances of Rob Zombie and Slash alone would surely make it finantially viable. 'Elected' alone warrent's it's release.

The 25 minute show opens with Hagar making a short introduction, before turning to live footage from the end of the show, showing 'School's Out' with Hagar guesting. It then proceeds to return to the beginning of the performance and features 'Billion Dollar Babies', 'I'm Eighteen', 'Poison', and 'Elected' which features Slash and Rob Zombie. The songs are connected with short Alice interviews. The band at the time featured Ryan Roxie and Reb Beach on guitars, Todd Jenson on bass and Jimmy DeGrasso on drums. It was Roxie's first live show with Alice.
