'Rise' Album due June 21st2019-04-18 01:21:24

Good to their word EarMusic have release details of the new Hollywood Vampires album 'Rise' which will be released on June 21st. The video for the first single can be seen below, with the full album press release undeneath.

The Hollywood Vampires – return with new music from their explosive second album, “Rise.” Rock and roll royalty Joe Perry, Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp and shock rock icon Alice Cooper join forces once again for the unmissable rock album of 2019.

Seconds into the opening track “I Want My Now,” it’s clear this supergroup has created something special – the chemistry between the individuals is unmistakable when they come together on stage or in the recording studio. Forget the star-studded lineup’s individual reputations, “Rise” is some of the purest, unapologetic and most enjoyable rock and roll of the year, made by masters of the craft and true fans of the form.

Unlike their 2015 debut record, the new album “Rise” consists mainly of original material, written by the band. There are however, in the spirit of the Vampires’ original mission, three covers of songs originally written and recorded by some fellow rockers who died far too young: an intimate and intense version of David Bowie’s “Heroes”,  beautifully performed by Johnny Depp; the late Jim Carroll Band’s “People Who Died,” and Johnny Thunder’s “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory,” sung by Joe Perry. Raucous rock anthems like “The Boogieman Surprise” and “Who’s Laughing Now” (the first single from the new album), capture the natural, raw, celebratory attitude of Hollywood Vampires displayed in their rowdy shows around the world.  But the album shows off their range as well with tracks like “We Gotta Rise” – a tongue-in-cheek politics song in the the tradition of Alice’s “Elected” – to the psychedelic gothic epic of “Mr. Spider.

“‘Rise’ is not only a totally different animal than the first Vampires album, it is unique to anything I’ve ever been a part of.  I approached it very differently than I usually do when working on an album.  Each of us; Joe, Johnny, Tommy and myself have written songs on this album.  What is different though is that I didn’t try to change any songs to be more “Alice-like.”  Because each of us has different influences, the sound of this album is very cool.  I think that with this album, we are establishing what the Vampires’ sound really is, whereas with the first album we were more tipping our hats to our fallen rock n roll brothers.” – Alice Cooper

“’Rise’ came from pure creative energy, which is just like playing live with the Vampires. The record showcases everyone doing what they do best without anyone looking over our shoulders. There was no pressure or deadlines, allowing us to write and record an album that is one of the freest and most honest sounding records I’ve been part of. I can’t wait to perform some of these tunes live for our fans.” – Joe Perry

earMUSIC, the global independent rock label of Edel Germany GmbH, is proud to announce the worldwide signing of Hollywood Vampires. Following the release of Alice Cooper’s 2017 studio album “Paranormal” on earMUSIC, his best chart-performing work in decades, the label is proud to welcome the band to their family.

Produced by Tommy Henriksen and the Hollywood Vampires, “Rise” will be released on June 21st, 2019 on earMUSIC as CD Digipak, 2LP+Download (various color vinyl) and Digital.

Beasto Blanco, the band comprised of Chuck Garric (long time Alice Cooper bassist) on guitars and vocals, Calico Cooper on vocals, Brother Latham on guitars, Jan LeGrow on bass and Sean Sellers on drums, will release their 3rd studio album 'We Are' on May 24, 2019 via Rat Pak Records.  'We Are' is the follow up album to their highly successful 2016 self-titled sophomore release 'Beasto Blanco'. Produced by Ryan Greene, the new album is available for pre-order in various bundle configurations at:
Regarding the new album Chuck Garric comments, "We spent a lot of time channeling, dissecting and arranging the songs from our new album. The idea was, "Let’s make 'our' record - not necessarily what’s popular now or what we think other people will like. We said, let’s make a record for us and our fans. Our fans are loyal and our sound is our sound."
Guitarist Brother Latham adds “We Are” is a novel record for us.  It shows maturity in the band, without surrendering our reckless abandon and love of rock n’ roll!"
Calico Cooper adds, "This record has teeth. It’s got a bite to it that I love. It’s message is from the people we see around us every day, it’s heartbeat is so loud. It says We are strong. We are indestructible. We are here. We Are!"
The track listing for 'We Are' is as follows:

Billboard has a new interview with Alice talking about his plans for this year including the tour, the forthcoming new solo album, and the new Hollywood Vampires releases.
Talking of the new tour Alice says "It's going to be a brand-new show, an entirely new production - all new staging, all new props and everything. It's taking a lot of the stuff we know we have to do and a lot of the stuff people are not going to be expecting. "
As to the new solo album, he's considering releasing an EP of four new songs in time for the tour, with the full new album to follow in 2020.
"There's a certain Detroit sound we're looking for [for the new songs]. It's indefinable. There's a certain amount of R&B in it. There's a certain amount of Motown in it. But then you add the guitars and you add the attitude and it turns into Detroit rock. I feel like if we mine around with all Detroit players, we're gonna find that sound." He also mentions guest appearances by fellow Detroit natives Suzi Quatro and Bob Seger. "I can tell you Seger and I will be working on something on this new album. I talked to him and he said, 'Oh, yeah, that's be fun,' and I said, 'OK, let's do it.' So that's going to happen in the future." The original band are also set to contribute material, presumably in a similar way to the previous two albums. You can read the whole interview here.

Alice will be appearing at the 'FanX Salt Lake Comic Convention' between April 19th and 20th at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, UT. This is a signing and Q&A session, not a show.

The 'Live From The Astroturf' film will be shown at a couple more film festivals in addition to the Phoenix premiere on April 5th. It will be shown at Freep Film Festival in Detroit, MI between April 10th and 14th, and the Dallas, TX International Film Festival between April 11th and 18th.

TruRockRevival have a cool interview with Beasto Blanco co-founder/guitarist Chris Latham. They previously interviewed Chuck and Calico which you can see here.

Keri Kelli's 'A New Revenge' have released another new video, this time for 'Never Let You Go' which you can see here. It's taken from their debut album ' Enemies & Lovers' which is released March 29th on Golden Robot Records. 'A New Revenge' features Keri with Tim 'Ripper' Owens (Judas Priest) on vocals, James Kottak (Scorpions, Kingdom Come) on drums and Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy, Whitesnake etc) on bass.
