Orianthi took to the 100 Club stage last night for her first solo UK show in front of a sold out crowd melting in the EXTREME heat of the tiny basement club. Backed by Glen and Chuck (with Ryan and Tommy in the crowd as well) they played songs from both her recent 'Heaven In This Hell' record and earlier material proving without a doubt just why she is so high regarded by the likes of Steve Vai and Carlos Santana. Stand out song was certainly the sublime blues of 'How Do You Sleep' featuring second guitar and backing vocals from Cyril Niccolai of the Fairchilds (who also played a cool short opening set).
Encore time saw the band play Ori's big hit single 'According To You' before probably the most unsurprising 'surprise guest' of all time (being that he previously appeared at her solo New York show a few weeks ago) arrived to help close the show with 'Foxy Lady'. While it's Alice's appearance that will probably get most the press, Orianthi had triumphed well before that and it was just the icing on the cake for a amazing performance.
You can already see songs from the show on YouTube including 'Foxy Lady' and 'How Do You Sleep' and there are a few photos up now in the photo section.

In other news The Daily Mail have a story with photos of Alice and Sheryl in Convent Garden yesterday for dinner. Also while in London Alice stopped by at Planet Rock and Radio Kerrang amongst others for interviews and other promo duities. Details of when they are scheduled to air to follow.

Steve Hunter now has an online store where you can buy songs, albums and posters. You can check it out at

The tour appears to feature a house rock band and the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague backing the various main performers.
