Beasto Blanco played a storming show in Nashville last night with a few surprises. The show opened with local band Denman, before Damon Johnson took the stage with his solo band. Damon's later guest appearance with Beasto Blanco of course wasn`t entirely a surprise. Beasto (minus Chuck) and Damon performed Thin Lizzy's 'Jailbreak' before Chuck returned and they started up 'No More Me Nice Guy' which saw Alice himself (in Nashville working on the new abum) join them on stage! They continued through 'Under My Wheels', 'I'm Eighteen' and closed with 'School's Out' which featured yet another guest, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm.
UPDATE: Check out some cool photos at Nashville Scene.

Nita Struass has released a new video for the instrumental "Pandemonium" from the 'She Rocks, Vol.1' compilation being put together by Steve Vai and set to be released on January 20th.
Nita says: "As you guys may or may not know by now, for the past year or so I've been focusing on writing and putting my band together, and while I always thought about making a solo album, I thought my energy would be better spent right now focusing on giving the band my all and making those songs as great as they could be.
But whenSteve Vai asked if I'd be a part of this compilation, you better believe I jumped at the chance!!!! I've always loved instrumental guitar music, and to step into this world for the first time and get to do it on 'Favored Nations Entertainment' alongside the other badass girls on the She Rocks album, is an honor and a privilege.
I'm extremely grateful to Steve Vai, Brad Tolinski and Laura B. Whitmore for including me on this compilation!! And I have a feeling this isn't the last instrumental music I'll be writing."

Alice Cooper will play the Bell Auditorium in Augusta, GA on April 30th. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10AM.
There are also reports Alice will be returning to the 'Rock In Rio' festival in Brazil in September but this is yet to be confirmed.

A new Sky Arts (UK) series called 'Urban Myths' is set to feature an episode based around the famous meeting with artist Salvador Dali. The series has courted controversy already by casting a white actor to play Michael Jackson. While the title of the show suggests that the stories covered are untrue, in fact the aim of the show is to retell famous stories that are both true and untrue.
