Nita Strauss has officially announced the title of her forthcoming second solo album ‘The Call Of The Void’. The album will be released through Sumerian Records on July 7th and the latest single ‘The Golden Trail’ featuring Anders Fridén if In Flames can be seen here.. You can pre-order now through AmazonUK and AmazonUS on vinyl, CD and streaming.

Ryan Roxie will have a busy week in Fort Wayne, IN in July when he has two solo events taking place.
The first is on July 27th when he will be hosting a ‘Master Class’ evening including a 2 hour chat and Q&A, talking about his career, somgwriting, touring and anything else that comes to mind. Tickets for this exclusive event are $100 and available here.

Secondly Sweetwater Studios will be holding a 2-day ‘recording workshop’ with Roxie on July 28th-29th. This is a more technical two-day class with day one titled ‘The Basics of Tracking a Session’, and day 2 ‘Mixing to Yield Professional Sounding Results’, and during that time Roxie will actually be recording a new solo single! Rhino have posted a new track from the forthcoming ‘Killer’ deluxe edition. This one is ‘You Drive Me Nervous‘ record at the Mar Y Solo festival in 1972.

The Hollywood Vampires have released yet another clip from the forthcoming ‘Live In Rio’. This time it’s their version of Hendrix’s ‘Manic Depression’ which you can see here. ‘Live In Rio’ is due June 2nd from earMusic.

Dennis Dunaway and Michael Bruce have been interviewed for a new article about ‘Billion Dollar Babies’ in the June issue of ‘Vintage Guitar‘ which should be on the news shelves soon. The issue you want has Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton on the cover.

Original Alice Cooper Band to headline pudding show

Solid Rock have announced that the original Alice Cooper band – Alice, Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith and Michael Bruce – will headline this years Christmas Pudding show on December 14th in Phoenix. The show will also feature Nita Strauss, Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Joe Bonamassa, and Extreme among others. In the press release, Alice commented “As always, Solid Rock is trying to put together a show with new and classic headliners. The uniqueness of this concert is that you’ll never see this caliber and variety of artists on the same stage again.”
Tickets for the show go on sale October 7th at 10am local time.

The ‘Billion Dollar Babies’ show at the weekend seems to have been a great success and there’s lots of clips and photos being posted to facebook. Probably the best place to go to see them is Dennis Dunaway’s own page where fans have posted tons of images from the show. The setlist mostly included obvious Cooper tracks as well as ‘Black Juju’ and ‘I Miss You’. Original B$B guitarist Mike Marconi joined the band for ‘Under My Wheels’, ‘I Miss You’ and ‘I’m Eighteen’.

On October 30th Alice, along with Jack White (Raconteurs) and others, will be taking part in ‘Devil’s Night‘ at the Shinola Hotel in Detroit raising funds for the ‘Kirk Gobson Foundation for Parkinsons’. There will be various events including a Q&A and a silent auction which includes the chance to play table tennis with Alice! This is a ‘high roller’ event with $350 tickets on sale now.

PRP and Hard Four Productions have posted a 30 second teaser trailer for ‘Cold Cold Coffin’ to Vimeo, and list a full release date as October 26th 2019. The short clip shows Calico Cooper and Dennis Dunaway in a castle accompanied by a short clip of the song. The film will also be shown at the ‘Spooky Empire Horror Film Festival‘ in Tampa, FL between October 31st and November 3rd, and as previously announced Alice will also be at this event.
‘Cold Cold Coffin’ will officially launch at the Chiller Theatre Expo in Parsippany, New Jersey on October 25th – 27th.

‘Billion Dollar Babies Play Danbury on Sept 28th

Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith and Michael Bruce will perform as ‘Billion Dollar Babies’ on September 28th at the ‘Fore’n’Aft Benefit Concert and Festival‘ in Danbury, CT. They will be accompanied at the show by DDP guitarist/songwriter Rick Tedesco. The festival runs from 1PM to 10PM and tickets are available now.

Danbury Reunion

Alice’s appearance on Disney Channel’s ‘Mickey and the Roadster Racers’ is due next week (July 5th) and Disney have released a short promo clip from the episode, which unfortunately is blocked outside North America. You may be able to see it at Yahoo Entertainment.

There’s also a new Alice interviews to check out at ‘Appetite For Distortion‘ and Billboard.com. Billboard also have an article which starts of talking about the ‘Death Pact’ story but moves onto other stuff.
