The 'Brutally Live' CD came as a bonus disc with the 'Brutally Live' DVD. It was recorded live at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on July 19th 2000 on the 'Brutal Planet' tour. It could be argued this shouldn't be included in the main Alice Cooper discography, as it was originally released only on VHS, but as it WAS officially released on CD later I don't see why in hindsight we can't include it here. The only sad thing about the CD is that the show hsa been edited to fit on one disc. Luckily the film is complete.

Album Notes - (Detailed release information)

'Brutally Live' is a concert film and CD recorded at the Labatt's Hammersmith Apollo (formerly the Hammersmith Odeon) on July 19th 2000 during the 'Brutal Planet' tour. A VHS of the complete show was originally released on VHS tape in 2001, but in 2005 when it was reissued on DVD it included an CD of the soundtrack. Four songs were cut to due to the 80 minute limit on CDs. This second release retained the DVD style packaging. It was reissued again in 2014 but this time in a CD size box. The contents of the various discs were always the same though.

The DVD came with both stereo and 5.1 surround sound options and included a feature called which allowed the viewer to see different camera angles on a few select songs. The alternate angles focussed on Alice exclusively rather than the show as a whole and came to be refered to as the "Alice-cam". It also included the promotional video for 'Gimmie'.

Naturally there was no specific tour to promote 'Brutally Live' as by the time it was released Alice was on the road promoting 'Dragontown'.
