Lastly, it appears there has been some problems with the STUK email address the last couple of months which has caused emails from an unknown number of domains to dissapear and never arrive here, with no bounce or fail messages being returned to the sender either. I'm in the process of trying to work around the issue, but wanted to say something in case anyone has been sending stuff in and not getting any replies. I will almost always reply in some way to people who send stuff in to me, so if you didn't hear anything back it's likely I never saw it. Hopefully the situation will soon be resolved.

A Message From Shep And Updates 02 Nov 2012

STUK has arrived home after another awesome UK tour. I'll get to the normal updates etc shortly but first we have an exclusive message from Shep Gordon about the current show, addressing some of the comments that have been made.

HELLO SICK THINGS!!!!!...HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!.....
Shep here... I had a chance this tour to get some quality time with many of the Sick Things. Really great to get to do more than wave while leaving the building........ Thank you all for your loyalty, honesty and concern... I know many of you are confused by the new show.. I read the postings and appreciated the comments, recommendations and concern... Glad to see most are feeling better.. A few more changes to come.....
I thought I would try and explain what our thoughts were in writing the new show which may help clear some things up for you, and for Alice and I...
Your comments that Alice breaks character at the tribute section was heard loudly by us. We realize we didn't explain what happens clearly enough. For over 40 years Alice on stage has done dispicable acts to society, has been killed for this and has immediiately returned reborn in white. This year Alice deals with the question of "what happens when Alice Cooper dies?" Is he burned in hell? No... he goes to join his friends who have also died... his friends from his drinking club THE HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES. He goes to the rockstar graveyard, as well he should, but nothing can keep Alice down.. it's not his time yet... so he raises the dead so he can come back!
Also please remember there are very special reasons for each artist as I'm sure as Sick Things you should know. Jimi Hendrix introduced Alice and I!!!!!! John Lennon gave Alice his first big show.. the show where the chicken was unleashed!!!!!!! Jim Morrison taught Alice how to REALLY drink!!!!!! And what needs to be said about Keith Moon.. He's Keith Moon and was Alices outrage buddy!!!!!! Who more fitting than Alice to raise these dead.
We are in the process of adding a few simple things to make this clearer to the audience thanks to all of your comments.. THANK YOU SICK THINGS FOR CARING!!!!!!!!

Shep Gordon.

I'd like to take a second to thank Shep for all his help and for taking the time to listen to people's comments and act on them. What the fans say DOES matter to Alice and his team!
We'd also like to thank the always awesome Toby Mamis for all his help and hard work above and beyond again this year, Cesare and the entire crew for their tireless hard work in mounting the show night after night, Kyler, Andy, and Buiji for their friendship and help behind the scenes and, of course, Alice, Chuck, Ryan, Tommy, Glen and Orianthi for being the best rock'n'roll band on the planet and proving it night after night! Safe travels guys. See you again soon.

Blue Coupe Funding Campaign 30 Sep 2012

Blue Coupe, the rock band comprised of Albert and Joe Bouchard from the original Blue Oyster Cult and R & R Hall of Famer Dennis Dunaway from the original Alice Cooper Group, are raising money to complete 12 songs for their latest album, which will feature guest singers Tish and Snooky of Manic Panic as well as other surprise celebrities.
So far, Blue Coupe have funded the recordings through sales of their last record, 'Tornado On The Tracks', which featured Robby Krieger of the Doors on guitar. But in order to hire quality people that can complete the new recording in time for the holiday season, Blue Coupe cordially invite you to show your support.
Here's the breakdown;
$6000 to hire a producer to mix the album.
$2000 to master the recordings including a vinyl single.
$500 for graphics.
$1800 for manufacturing.
Reaching these goals will enable Blue Coupe to improve the quality of this album.

In appreciation, Blue Coupe are offering special incentives for your funding, like things the band actually used in the making of the record and props from their videos.  And they are offering more insight into the creative process through some of the demos that were used to arrange the songs on the record. And the biggest supporter will get an executive producer credit on each record.

All extra funds will go toward recordings of unique covers and video production and promotion. Give what you can and thanks for spreading the word about Blue Coupe.

You can find all the details of incentives and you can pledge at Indiegogo.

Lord's influence of rock music was immesurable. The official Alice Cooper twitter posted the following: "Heartbroken after hearing Jon Lord has passed away. Our thoughts go out to Jon's family, friends, and Deep Purple". Damon Johnson also tweeted "Love & respect to the legendary Jon Lord. Condolences to his family. His mark in contemporary music is long and permanent. R.I.P."

Dick Wagner posted on facebook: "The loss of Bob Babbitt left me in a state of grief all day today. Babbitt was a very close friend of mine, and will be missed so very much. Babbitt was going to join my band for this Maestro of Rock tour I am on, but I knew after our last conversation that he could not be able to join me. His health had really left him unable to really communicate. Bob Babbitt was my friend for many years. I hope he is really in a better place now."
Steve Hunter also paid tribute: The music world lost one of the premiere bass players of all time today...Bob Babbitt. I had the great pleasure of playing with him on a couple of Alice Cooper albums back in the day. And I spoke with him on the phone when I was still in Nashville a couple of months ago. He will be sorely missed. He was all about feel and in a league by himself. Do yourself a favor and Google him . You will be amazed at the classic stuff he has been a part of. And he was a damned cool guy too. Love you Bob. RIP"

Glen Injured, Mover Steps In 30 Jun 2012

A message from Alice:
"Glen Sobel's been having neck problems and has been playing the shows in a lot of pain, so he needs to take a short break to heal. Luckily for us, and for you, Jonathan Mover (from the "Trash"tour and the "Trashes The World" live concert video) was available to help out on short notice. We rehearsed with him yesterday and we're all excited about tonight's show in Camden with him. Hopefully Glen will be back soon."
Said Glen: "I'll be off the Alice tour for a few weeks. I've played the last several shows on pain meds due to an inflamed neck situation. We've had some of the best shows on tour with Iron Maiden, so I wanted to do everything I could to stay in the game. I need to get back to LA, have this treated, and then return to finish out our tour dates. In the meantime my main man Jonathan Mover (an Alice band alumni) will be sitting in the drum throne covering for me. I have the utmost confidence that he will deliver the goods along with all my brothers (and sister) in the Alice band. Don't worry about me, I'll be back sooner than later."

Best wishes Glen, hope you get well soon!

RIP Dick Clark 19 Apr 2012

Alice remembers the legendary Dick Clark who passed away yesterday: "I used to come home from elementary school to watch American Bandstand.  It had all the new songs, all the new dances, and it had the happiest guy in the world presenting them to you.  I had no idea that later in my career I would know Dick Clark on a professional level. I ran into him some years ago, and he said to me “Hey Coop, if you had your own radio show, what would it be like?” I told him it would be more like the free form FM stations of the 60’s, where the DJ’s actually played what they liked and demographics didn’t play a role. He said ‘Alice, why don’t you do it then?’ Just like that, my radio show Nights With Alice Cooper was born.  It's been 9 years later and I’m still on the air!  And let me just add that NOBODY loved rock 'n' roll more than Dick Clark!"

Steve Hunter Leaves Alice 11 Feb 2012

From Steve Hunter (via Facebook):
"Hello all my peeps and fans. I have an announcement to make. I have spent many weeks mulling this over...losing sleep. For many reasons both personal and professional I have reluctantly decided not to join Alice Cooper onstage this year. None of the reasons has to do with my health which is very good at the moment. Nor do any have anything to do with my poor eyesight, because I was able to find ways around my impairment to enable me to perform and play guitar onstage. Nor is Alice any part of the reasons I have made this decision. He is a brother to me and we share a real history. I think it’s time I move on. I have a solo album to finish among other things. I will miss all the beautiful people I met last year. I will miss glancing over to my right and seeing Alice belting out 18 again. I hope you all understand and aren’t disappointed in me. But I think I have to do this. I hope to see you all out there again one day soon. Thanks for understanding and God bless!"
